David joined the Media Team at Masters in May 2021 having previously worked as a manager at a large Defendant firm and as the Head of Costs for Shelter, the homeless charity. David graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Manchester Metropolitan University, followed by post-graduate studies in Philosophy in Toronto, Canada. David qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2017 and has almost 10 years' experience acting for both the paying and the receiving party in costs matters arising from catastrophic and spinal injury, commercial, construction and group litigation matters. David has significant advocacy experience having attended CCMCs, detailed assessments and oral review hearings and now concentrates primarily on the recovery of costs in contentious and high profile media litigation including the MNHL and MTVIL. David was appointed as co-Vice Chair of the Association of Costs Lawyers in April 2022.
