
Phill Cawrey joined Masters in 2023 and is a Costs Consultant in our Commercial Department. Phill studied Politics at Durham University before successfully completing the Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law, Manchester.
Phill has extensive legal costing experience in representing both paying and receiving parties. Phill has dealt with a broad range of cost matters, from high value commercial disputes to clinical negligence and personal injury claims and enjoys using his cost experience, built up over 15 years, to advise clients in an approachable and commercially minded way. Phill is experienced in all aspects of costs management, from preparation of Precedent H documents through to the drafting of Budget Discussion Reports, Precedent T’s and making representations in relation to costs at CCMCs.
Since joining Masters, Phill has been involved in a wide array of work including assisting with the preparation of multi-million pound Bills of Costs in high profile commercial matters. In addition he has prepared cost documents for the Privy Council and taken on work with an international focus including Bills for the European Court of Human Rights, the Dubai International Arbitration Centre and the Supreme Court of Barbados.
